I don't understand the term 'heat training'. I think you can wear your hair straight without damaging it. Even curly hair Caucasians who wear their hair straight don't use the term heat training and don't lose their curls. As a community, we just need to learn how to safely wear our hair straight. We also need to stop demonising those who choose to wear their hair straight. This is only a thing in our community.

Homemade soap is perfectly okay. I used to make homemade soap in hopes of starting a business. But it took months of formulating and testing before I even though my products were good enough to give out testers to family. There's so much about the saponification process, formulating, superfats, lye types, additives, etc that you have to learn about before you can just start designing a logo in canva and shipping these products out. So much info about what oils react in what ways when used in what percentages. Always! Always! Read reviews and only buy from trusted small businesses.

Those soaps are for lightening skin. You should NEVER lighten your skin! All skin tones are beautiful - what everyone wants is an even skin tone, not a lighter skin tone.

Scientist here. You can neutralize a base (like sodium hydroxide) with a mild acid (such as diluted vinegar; aka, acetic acid). Patch testing any new product is a must, especially those purchased from non-standardized vendors.
